GUS MacPHERSON is confident he will get an immediate reaction from his Queen's Park side when they face Clyde this weekend.

The Spiders' superb run of League Two form came to an end on Saturday as Albion edged their top-of-the- table clash 1-0.

With Rovers and league leaders Arbroath out of action this weekend and not taking to the field until Tuesday night, QP have the chance to land an early blow when they face the Bully Wee.

Queen's are just five points off top spot after an encouraging few weeks for MacPherson.

And the Hampden gaffer is looking forward to getting back down to business against Barry Ferguson's side.

He said: "We were frustrated more than disappointed with the game against Albion Rovers.

"If you look at the teams in the league, there isn't a lot between them and there wasn't a lot in the game.

"We had two or three chances to take the lead and didn't take them.

"Albion got their goal and then defended very, very well to see the game out and win.

"We can't be too disappointed with what we have done so far but we have lost a game and the most important thing is how you react.

"I am delighted with the efforts of the players and what they have achieved so far.

"Their work ethic is terrific and we will continue to look to bring the best out of them.

"They are happy at the moment so hopefully we can dust ourselves down and go again.

"It will be a difficult game for us against Clyde but it is one that we are looking forward to."
