SAMMY CLINGAN is pleased with Kilmarnock's solid start to the season as they added another point to their tally on Saturday.
Allan Johnston's side are fourth in the Premiership standings and already 11 points clear of bottom-of-the-table Ross County after a goalless draw against Hamilton.
The visitors could have taken all three points at New Douglas Park as they upped their game after the break but Clingan was satisfied with a share of the spoils as attentions turn to the League Cup clash with St Johnstone.
He said: "It wasn't good enough in the first half and the manager told us that at half-time but as players on the pitch we knew that.
"We came out in the second half and felt we were the team who might have gone on to win it.
"But Hamilton have done well so far and it's a tough place to go so it's a good point for us.
"It's been a decent start for us compared to last season when we didn't hit double figures until December time."
