ALLAN MOORE admits Morton shot themselves in the foot as they crashed to a 3-1 defeat to Falkirk on Saturday.

A first half brace from former Rangers striker Rory Loy and a Phil Roberts effort saw the Bairns cruise to victory, with a late strike from Reece Hands only a consolation for the Ton.

Boss Moore said: "What a difference a week makes. Last week we were top of the league and now we have lost three goals.

"The first we can handle, but the second came from us wanting the team to play out from the back and not lump it up.

"Mark McNally has put his hand up to it. He shouted to our keeper Derek Gaston to pass a free-kick at the back but even though it was only half decent, Michal Habai was too cute to try and nick it past the boy.

"As last man and when it is not a good pass he has to put it into touch, up the pitch or out and he got punished."

Elsewhere in the SPFL Championship, Hamilton Accies made it two from two as they beat Dumbarton 4-1 at New Douglas Park.

James Keatings continued his fine form with a double before Grant Gillespie and Tony Andreu clinched the points.

Gaffer Alex Neil said: "We have started where we finished last season because we had a good end to the campaign. To score four goals at home is really great. It is pleasing to get the points in the bank so early. I hope we can keep going the same way."

Dumbarton did threaten to launch a fight back when Scott Agnew netted from the spot but manager Ian Murray was disappointed with his side's poor display.

He said: "Hamilton were well worth their win and that was as poor as we have been. We didn't compete in the first half and it was a bad day."
