IAN MURRAY admits only Dumbarton's best will do as they look to avoid another cup shock this afternoon.
The Sons lost 3-2 to Stranraer last weekend in the Challenge Cup and today travel to face Brechin in the League Cup.
And boss Murray, who has completed a move to sign Aberdeen keeper Danny Rogers on a six-month loan deal, said: "Some of our defending, especially in the second half, wasn't good enough.
"A cup run is always welcome and it would be good to get a win against Brechin.
"It'll be a tough game and City showed their credentials last week at Cowdenbeath.
"We will have to be at our best to get into the next round."
