ANDY Graham today insisted Dumbarton could have snatched a shock result against Rangers at Ibrox if referee Brian Colvin had red-carded Bilel Mohsni.

Mohsni was lucky to stay on the park in the second half after bringing down Sons substitute Scott Agnew as he bore down on the Gers goal.

Light Blues boss Ally McCoist later admitted that Agnew was in on goal and Mohsni had been highly fortunate.

And Dumbarton defender Graham reckoned his side could have nicked a draw had Rangers been cut to 10 men then.

He said: "I have definitely seen them given for less. I think I would have been off if I had committed a foul like that.

"It was at a crucial point in the game as well. It was 2-0, we were still in the game. If Rangers had gone down to 10 men then we could have pressed the game."

Graham spoke to the ref who told him he didn't think it was a clear goalscoring opportunity.

Graham added: "It was very frustrating for us, but the most disappointing aspect of the game was the four goals that we lost."

Dumbarton are bottom of the SPFL Championship after losing their first three games and Graham says they must defend better. He said: "It was really disappointing to lose a first goal to Rangers from a set-piece.

"We worked hard all week on formations, on style of play and on breaking them down. Then we lose a goal like that from a set play. It is just not good enough.

"They are a full-time team and have some very good players … But it doesn't help when you let them score easy goals."
