STUART McCALL is prepared for Motherwell to face a Celtic side fully focused on the job in hand tomorrow afternoon.

The champions won 5-0 on their last trip to Fir Park earlier this season and return to Lanarkshire this weekend aiming to continue their fine form that has taken them well clear at the top of the table.

While the Hoops only have pride to play for, McCall's side are in need of the points as they battle it out with Aberdeen for second spot.

And the Steelmen boss knows his side will have to raise their game if they are to upset the odds at Fir Park.

McCall said: "We are up against a really good Celtic side on Saturday.

"When you are up against a side with good, good players and they are at the top of their game, which they were the last time they came here, then it is difficult.

"But we have managed to beat them over the piece three times in the last three years here so we have to take confidence from that.

"They were outstanding [in the 5-0 game] and some of the football was terrific with Commons and Stokes.

"They have got good players - Scott Brown in midfield and Virgil van Dijk at the back. And when a good side are playing at the top of their form it can be difficult.

"But we have got to not only curtail what they have got but create chances ourselves and carry a threat. It is a balancing act when you are playing a top side.

"They have got that many records to go for so and they are driven on by some good professionals as well.

"I don't see them [easing off] for a minute. They will have a big crowd here tomorrow.

"But we are at home so we have to carry a threat and do our upmost to make it a difficult afternoon for them."
