CLYDE are within touching distance of a League Two play-off berth after their 2-0 win over Montrose on Saturday.

Goals from Michael Daly - newly restored to the starting line-up - and Stefan McCluskey clinched the points for Jim Duffy's side at Links Park to leave them five clear of fifth-placed Berwick Rangers.

And Bully Wee boss Duffy is determined to wrap up their top four finish at the first attempt this weekend.

He said: "If you had said at the start of the season that we would have a home game to get into the play-offs then we would have taken it.

"We are not quite there yet, obviously, but a win at home to Albion Rovers will see us there."

Rovers will head to Broadwood with only pride to play for as they look to finish the campaign on a high note following Saturday's 2-0 defeat to champions Peterhead.

Keeper Neil Parry was sent off for the visitors as Rory McAllister bagged a brace.

Rovers boss James Ward said: "As soon as they score the penalty, we are trying to get organised, but they got the second really quickly and that rocked us back on our heels a bit.

"At that point, the momentum is with Peterhead as they are the champions with a good crowd behind them and it becomes a difficult situation for us to handle."

Elsewhere, Queen's Park will finish bottom of the fourth tier in a season to forget despite holding promotion hopefuls Annan to a 1-1 draw.

Hamilton loan star Eamonn Brophy was on target for the Spiders at Galabank.
