Dundee are unbeaten in five Premiership games after a 1-1 draw, but manager Paul Hartley was disappointed his side could not take all three points against Celtic.
The former Hoops midfielder said: "I thought we created the better chances and had good situations, especially in the second half when the boy (Martin Boyle) is through on goal a couple of times.
"He had an easy pass for a tap-in - but he's got a split-second decision to make. I thought it was a great game and I thought we were excellent."
James McPake, who headed in a Philip Roberts corner, rued the appearance of former Livingston and Hibs team-mate Leigh Griffiths, who scored with the help of a deflected drive.
"I knew he would score when he came on," McPake said.
"He hits the ball so cleanly and if there is somebody two yards in front of him there is a chance it will go in.
"Maybe if he hadn't have come on we would be sitting here with the three points."
