STUART McCALL has revealed he could be in the market for a new goalkeeper.

The Motherwell manager secured Rotherham loan star Lionel Ainsworth until the end of the season.

He then followed that up by hammering out a two-and-a-half-year deal with his other loan recruit, Viking Stavanger frontman Henri Anier.

But Lee Hollis might require to go under the knife for an ankle injury and with Dan Twardzik having returned to Dundee, the Fir Park gaffer admits he may need to recruit another shot-stopper.

McCall said: "We are really pleased to have secured Henri and Lionel.

"Adam Cummins has gone to Dundee and hopefully he will get plenty of game time there.

"The only other movement will come if Lee Hollis needs to go under the knife. He has an ankle injury which has been causing him problems.

"If it is a worse-case scenario with Dan back at Dundee, that would mean that Gunnar Nielsen is our only experienced first-team keeper and we might have to look at bringing someone else in as back-up to him.

"But apart from that we are going with what we now have. I have to say we have a decent bunch here, who have shown a lot of spirit in recent weeks to get us back to the top three."

Well's 1-0 win at Tynecastle was their sixth-in-a-row and their best league run in 77 years.

With his side just one point off second-placed Aberdeen, but holding a one-game advantage, McCall admits he has two targets left for the league season.

The Fir Park gaffer said: "We are pleased to be where we are and delighted with the run we are on. I think a couple of seasons back we came to Hearts on a similar run and came a-cropper so it was great to have made a bit of history with the win.

"But it is always the same at this stage in the season, the first thing you look to do is try and consolidate a place in the top six and when you have done that you can look to kick on.

"In terms of Europe it is a top-three situation, not a top four now, and there are a lot of good sides who are going to be battling it out.

"So we are not going to get carried away."

McCall was also delighted with Fir Park top scorer John Sutton, who claimed his 11th goal of the season as he shot down his former side and piled the misery on the rock-bottom Jambos.

The Steelmen boss added: "Sutty took his goal really well. With him going back to his old club the script was maybe written for him to do that.

"He has formed a good partnership with Henri Anier and now we have Henri nailed down it is one I am looking forward to seeing develop and flourish.

"But really John has come in and picked up where he left off previously with us."
