FRANKIE McAvoy has backed Accies to rediscover their form after seeing their poor run continue at Pittodrie.

Aberdeen leapfrogged Hamilton into fourth place with a deserved 3-0 victory over Accies on Saturday.

The league newcomers have faded after a table-topping autumn, losing six of their last seven games, but Hamilton assistant manager McAvoy says no-one at New Douglas Park is panicking.

He said: "We have played 15 games and we are happy with where we are at the moment.

"Obviously, we were flying, but you go through a stage when you will lose points and games.

"It's important we don't get too low when we lose and too high when we win. You have got to take a level grounding and we will go away and prepare for this weekend against Dundee.

"We will analyse this game with the players today and look at what we did well, and to rectify what we did wrong."
