QUEEN'S PARK warmed up for their play-off against Stranraer with a 3-1 home defeat to fellow-promotion hopefuls Elgin City.
Craig Smith grabbed a late consolation strike for the Spiders at Hampden as Ross Jack's side booked an Irn-Bru Third Division top-four finish.
Gaffer Gardner Speirs said: "We played well enough without really being a threat."
At the other end of the table, Clyde ended their campaign in shocking fashion as they crashed to a 5-0 defeat at Montrose.
The Bully Wee went into the match at Links Park hoping to avoid defeat to clinch eighth place but were on the end of a heavy loss, with striker Martin Boyle netting a hat-trick to finish the division's top scorer with 22 goals.
Clyde boss Jim Duffy said: "In all departments we were simply a shambles."
