ALAN ARCHIBALD is confident his latest summer signings can shine in the SPFL Premiership after adding two more players to his Partick Thistle squad ahead of the new season.

Former Aberdeen midfielder Isaac Osbourne and Simon Colina, who came through the famous Barcelona La Masia youth academy, have put pen to paper on deals at Firhill.

Thistle start life back in the top flight with the visit of Dundee United tomorrow.

And Archibald is delighted to have another two players on board as he continues to build his squad for the Premiership campaign.

The Jags boss said: "I think we are signing two quality players here.

"Isaac is the experienced SPL player who I have been very keen to bring in.

"I have only had Simon here for a couple of weeks earlier in pre-season, but you can see he has plenty to offer.

"It will be interesting to see how quickly he settles into the Scottish game – but, from an ability point of view, he certainly has that in abundance and it will be great to watch him progress."
