MEXICAN star Gabriel Rojo de la Vega Piccolo is delighted to have put pen-to-paper on a deal with Partick Thistle.
The former Rayo Vallecano youngster impressed for the Jags during their 0-0 draw with AEL Limassol and was handed a two-year contract shortly after the final whistle to become Alan Archibald's latest summer signing.
Gabriel could make his competitive bow in the SPFL Premiership curtain-raiser against Dundee United at Firhill on Friday evening and the 23-year-old is eager to make his mark in Scotland.
He said: "I'm very happy with the opportunity, hopefully it will be good for everybody, for the team and for me.
"I came over last week and the club just wanted to make sure that I was in good shape and I had a good way to play. I'm very happy to sign here.
"It's a very good team. The boys have tried to make me very comfortable and I'm very happy.
"I'm very anxious to start and hopefully we can be fighting for the first places.
"I don't know too much but I have been doing my research and I'll be checking the club website."
