KILMARNOCK are in talks with Momo Sissoko in a bid to bring the defender back to Rugby Park for a third time.

The Frenchman has been training with Killie following his release by Udinese in Italy.

Sissoko played in a bounce game against Dunfermline, and manager Kenny Shiels hopes to add the free agent to his squad as he looks to strengthen his defence.

The 24-year-old has had two successful loan spells at Kilmarnock, helping them reach the top six in his first season.

He was then part of their victorious League Cup side last term.

Shiels said: "Momo has been training with us this week and has played in a practise game against Dunfermline.

"There has been nothing conclusive yet, but there is a possibility he could come back.

"There's still a bit of work to do on it and we'll see how the talks progress. His contract with Udinese has been freed up.

"It would be good to get him back because he has done well for us in the past and could help shore up our defence. He looked good in the training game."

Elswehere, defender Sean Dillon has signed a two-year contract extension at Dundee United.

Dillon said: "I love being at United. This club and the local area fit in with my personal and career ambitions. The progress the club makes gives you a buzz."
