ESTONIAN hitman Henrik Ojamaa has set his sights on blasting Motherwell back to winning ways going into the international break.

The 21-year-old ace, who has been a regular fixture for his national side, is determined to halt the Fir Park club's run of just one draw from their last three games.

Well will host an out-of-sorts Dundee United on Saturday afternoon and Ojamaa, who has yet to score this season, believes it is crucial Stuart McCall's men end their current run of games on a positive note.

"Going into the United game we have played eight league games and lost just the once to Celtic and if someone had offered us that statistic going into the final game of the first quarter we would have taken it," he said.

"This is our final game before going into the international break and it is vital we get the three points and provide the positive response we need to the two defeats we have suffered [to Rangers and Celtic].

"Also if we can beat United, Celtic welcome Hearts at Parkhead and after a tough trip to Moscow in the Champions League you never know how that one may go.

"So all that matters for us is that we get back to winning ways and hope the rest takes care of itself."

The tricky forward has come on leaps and bounds this campaign despite his goal drought.

He was pivotal coming off the bench away to Dundee and has shown that he can build on the performances that allowed him to net nine goals in just half a season last time out.

"I am pleased with how I am developing at Motherwell," he added.

"I have had the chance to play in different positions this season and believe my ability has improved over all as a result of the way I am progressing at the club.

"Of course any striker wants to be on the score sheet but that is not all there is to my game.

"But I am hungry to keep improving and developing as a player and hopefully the goals will come. It would be good timing for me if I can get back among the goals against United at Fir Park this weekend.

"But like I say it is about my over all contribution to the team."

United's form has plummeted in recent weeks and the Tannadice men will come to Fir Park on the back of two successive heavy defeats at the hands of Hearts and Inverness that has seen them slip to 11th place in the SPL – just one spot above city rivals Dundee.

But Ojamaa said: "United have a lot of quality players who can hurt you like Jon Daly and Jonny Russell to name a couple.

"They will be very determined to go into the international break on the back of a win and that means we will have to be at our best."
