The best chance of Celtic persuading Robbie Keane, and other loan signings, to stay beyond this season would be to dangle the carrot of Champions League football in front of them.

Let’s be honest, with the way the title race is sitting, they are not going to be able to offer that guarantee.

So, while everyone would love to see Robbie remain here, I really don’t think it is going to happen.

Financially, another loan deal would be their only hope. But, without the lure of competing in the Champions League, it would be a hard sell.
