Six months ago Rangers were a club without troubles to seek as the threat of administration loomed large.
Fast forward to the present and suddenly it’s all change on the takeover front.
Although it sounds dram-atic to even suggest such a thing, when a football club and the ‘A’ word are mentioned in the same breath, you genuinely fear for its future – and Rangers are no different to any other club in that respect.
At the time, it looked as though Walter Smith would be forced to sell off leading players such as Allan McGregor, Steven Davis and Kris Boyd. That, in turn, would have killed off their title ambitions.
