Davie Provan
Hello reader, yes reader, well reader, Davie Provan here reader, looking back on the third Old Firm match of the season and asking the question, is that it, is the title race now over?
To be honest, I would have to say no, the league race is never over until mathematically it’s over arithmetically, apart from this one which I think is well and truly over even if, technically, it isn’t. Yes, I’m afraid it’s THAT simple.
Despite the fact that in a ‘must-win’ match, Celtic had just three shots at goal, two on target and not one single corner in the entire match, much of the blame for the team’s failure has been focused on the referee Dougie McDonald.
Questions are being asked, like did he red card Scott Brown for an intended head-butt to Kyle Lafferty’s chest or was it actually for wiping his snotters on the Rangers player’s jersey?
