Time to go for Mo as Valencia eye swoop

MAURICE EDU is the latest Rangers player to be linked with a move away from the struggling Ibrox club with the American being monitored by La Liga side Valencia.

The midfielder has a get-out clause in his contract which would enable him to move for the paltry sum of £300,000.

Edu is believed to earn around £12,500 per week with Rangers and it is impossible for the club to sustain that salary as they attempt to force their way out of the Third Division.

And the 26-year-old American won't be the last player to ship out of Ibrox this summer as Eintracht Frankfurt hope to snap up defender Dorin Goian this week after the Romanian held talks with the Bundesliga club.

The former Palermo man will quit Rangers after they were demoted to the Third Division.

That will save Rangers £12,500 a week on his ages – and there is plenty of interest in the 31-year-old.

And Goian expects to leave soon after a meeting with Charles Green.

"I have had discussions with the owner of the club and it's likely I can leave as a free agent," said the Romanian, who now looks likely to join the likes of Kyle Lafferty, Steven Davis and Steven Naismith on the road out of Ibrox.

"I don't know which club I will go to yet, but many clubs have called me, so we will see. I don't want to return to Romania, but everywhere else is an option."
