Liverpool’s American owners have handed Roy Hodgson a two-week ultimatum to save his job.
Reports today said the beleaguered Kop boss is on the bring of being bagged after a string of shocking results has left the Anfield club’s season in ruins.
And the pressure on Hodgson was cranked up further yesterday when he slated Liverpool fans who chanted for the return of club legend Kenny Dalglish to take over during the midweek defeat to Wolves.
The 63-year-old boss said: “I haven’t had a lot of support from the fans ever since I came here. That is understandable because we have not won enough games to keep them happy.”
The mid-table Reds host sixth-placed Bolton tomorrow – and then face three away ties at Blackburn, Manchester United and Blackpoool before taking on Everton in the Merseyside derby at Anfield on January 16.
