WAITING GAME FOR HALLICHE

RAFIK HALLICHE must wait a little longer to find out if he is to be offered the chance to sign for Celtic after Neil Lennon revealed he has other options under consideration.

The Parkhead boss said: "Rafik is just one of a number of defenders we're considering at the moment."

The Algerian's agent, Ivan Modia, is still hopeful that, following his trial at Lennoxtown last week, a deal can be struck to take the 25-year-old from Fulham, but admitted no figures have yet been discussed.

Celtic have also been linked with Nottingham Forest's centre-back, Luke Chambers, who is out of contract in the summer while Real Zaragoza's 23-year-old Serbian defender, Ivan Obradovic, is the latest name reported to be on the Hoops' radar.
