TWO of Glasgow's elite sports teams have completed a global charity challenge with a twist.

Dance team the Rockettes and Glasgow Hawks Rugby Team pushed themselves to run the length of Britain - on treadmills.

In seven hours the two groups clocked up 500 miles and raised £500 for the Glasgow Hawks Sports Trust.

The dancers and rugby players sweated out their challenge in the lobby of the Hilton Glasgow Grosvener.

Stuart Nelson, general manager at the hotel, said: "I think everyone will have tired legs this week but it was certainly worth it to help such a good local cause."
