The prestigious event is being staged at Oran Mor on June 15 as part of the West End festival.
The Citizens' Theatre has scooped five nominations for the play Angels In America.
Glasgow's poet Laureate, Liz Lochhead, has been nominated for Best New Play for Educating Agnes which stared Kevin McMonigle and Sean Scanlon.
Other Glasgow companies on the shortlists include Vanishing Point, NVA, Burnt Goods and Rapture.
And the city-based National Theatre of Scotland has received 15 nominations for plays it has co-produced.
King's Theatre panto Sleeping Beauty is up for Best Ensemble for Sleeping Beauty.
Bailie Liz Cameron, Vice Chair of the Glasgow City Marketing Bureau, said: "It's appropriate that a theatrical event such as this should be held in what is certainly a most theatrical' city.
"Glasgow is flourishing in all aspects of arts and culture just now.
"In music, theatre, and the visual arts there's so much going on in our vibrant and dynamic dear green place. I'm really looking forward to it"
