SUBCITY Radio, Glasgow University's student-staffed station, is teaming up with Sleazy's Thursday residents Shore for this end of term blowout tonight.

The station's regulars make up the bill with Bounce, Codeine Drums, Jackie Your Body, Masha and Offbeat all making the jump from the studio to the stage.

Bounce's sets are contemporary R&B – sure to go down well with the Sleazy's crowd – while Offbeat bring propulsive house and disco to the table.

l Shore Vs. Subcity, tonight, Nice N Sleazy, 11.30pm-3am, £3 Pre-party at the Art School, from 7pm.

Madeon date

YOU will recognise Madeon's stomping electro hit Finale from the PS Vita advert, but this fledgling French producer is much more than just some video game peddler.

At 16 he won a remix competition with his re-imagining of Pendulum's The Island, he put out his first single at 17 and now, at 18, he has received the Jay-Z seal of approval, with the Jigga premiering the video for Finale on the rapper's Life+Times channel on YouTube.

This is his last UK date before embarking on a mammoth American tour that involves some Lady Gaga support slots, so next time you see him expect it to be in perhaps a slightly less intimate setting.

l Madeon, Saturday, The Arches, 11pm-5am, £15.

kilsyth'S morose rockers The Twilight Sad play their biggest Scottish gig to date at The Barras on Saturday.

It is a chance to catch them in a room that is big enough for their sound: last time we saw them in Sleazy's it felt like the shoebox-sized basement was just too small for their walls of distortion and howling.

The band will be DJing the official after-party at neighbours The Flying Duck. I hope the tunes will be a little more upbeat than the epic melancholy they ply on stage.

l The Twilight Sad Afterparty, Saturday, The Flying Duck, 11pm-3am, £5/£3 with gig ticket.
