SCOTS rockers The Fratellis and Travis are among the bands who will perform at a concert to raise cash for cancer.
The musicians, along with Alphabeat and Echo and the Bunnymen have pledged to play at a St Andrew's Day concert for Versus Cancer.
The event is the brainchild of Glasgow music producer John McLaughlin and Versus, which was set up by in 2005 by ex-Smiths bassist Andy Rourke and his manager Nova Rehman in 2005 after Nova's father and sister were diagnosed with cancer.
Star-studded concerts featuring acts including Oasis have already raised hundreds of thousands for the charity.
Local band The Attic Lights as well as Scots indie rockers Sergeant and former New Order bassist Peter Hook will also perform at the gig at the SECC on Friday November 28.
Travis bass guitarist Dougie Payne said: "During our recent UK tour we met a number of young people affected by cancer.
"We were all incredibly moved and impressed by them and immediately started discussing how we could do something to help. This show is the perfect opportunity to do a little, and hopefully will be just the start of our relationship with Versus".
Jon Fratelli said: "We were fortunate enough to see the first two Versus Cancer shows and delighted to be asked to perform at the third, so we're even more delighted to be involved with their first Scottish event.
"It's fantastic news that they are now getting involved in Scotland."
Nova says all the money raised will be given to cancer charities in Scotland.
He said: "Scotland has a high level of cancer and what we aim to do is not only provide funds for those battling cancer and supporting sufferers, but to raise awareness and how you can combat it and detect it early enough.
"Raising awareness is a vital part of the work we carry out - we want everyone to be aware of what cancer is and what they can do to prevent cancer taking another life."
According to Versus, last year 15,000 people died from cancer in Scotland and one in three people will develop some form of cancer during their lifetime.
Tickets, which cost from £30, go on sale at 9am tomorrow. Call 0870 040 4000 or visit www.secctickets.com.
