The body was found in Robroyston Park in Barmulloch at around 7am. A member of the public made the grim discovery.

Police and forensics are at the scene and the area has been cordoned off.

Detectives are treating the death as “unexplained.”

A spokeswoman for Strathclyde Police said: “At 7am the body of an as yet unidentified man was discovered in Robyroyston Park in Barmulloch.

“Enquiries are currently ongoing as to his identity.

“A post mortem will take place in due course to establish the circumstances of his death.

“The death is being treated as unexplained.”
