Ibrox security chief's message to Rangers fans

RANGERS fans have been urged to act as ambassadors for the club in the wake of Saturday's arrests for alleged inappropriate singing.

A section of supporters sang offensive songs during Saturday's game at Berwick Rangers, which was broadcast live on television.

The Ibrox club's head of security, David Martin, said: "It was extremely disappointing that a small number of fans chose to engage in inappropriate singing at Berwick on Saturday.

"That said, I take great encouragement by the fact the majority of supporters were quick to condemn those who indulged in unwanted singing and I ask all fans to act as ambassadors for Rangers when they attend our matches."
