RANGERS keeper Cammy Bell was today named in the Scotland squad for the friendly international with Nigeria later this month.

Gordon Strachan has also included Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths in his pool for the match at Craven Cottage on Wednesday, May 28.

Bell was outstanding between the sticks for the Gers in the 2013/14 campaign as they romped to the SPFL League One title without losing a single game.

The 27-year-old, who was capped against the Faroe Islands in 2010, kept 22 clean sheets in all competitions.

He is the second of Ally McCoist's players to receive a Scotland call-up this term despite playing in the third tier.

Light Blues left-back Lee Wallace came on in the World Cup qualifier with Macedonia in September and also played in the November friendly with the USA.

Griffiths has been selected along with Hoops team-mates Scott Brown and Charlie Mulgrew for the game against the World Cup-bound Africans.

That trio could find themselves squaring up to Parkhead team-mate Efe Ambrose in London.

Strachan also handed call-ups to uncapped Derby duo Craig Forsyth and Chris Martin.

Andrew Robertson, the former Queen's Park left-back, has been named in the 28-man squad as well. The 20-year-old Dundee United player, who only went full-time with the Tannadice club in the summer, made his debut for his country in the friendly with Poland in March.
