Members of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra swapped the comfort of the concert hall for a car boot and the city streets for the most impromptu of shows.
To celebrate a new partnership between the RSNO and Park's Motor Group, principal bass clarinetist Duncan Swindells, associate principal oboist Katy MacIntosh and principal bassoonist David Hubbard lugged their expensive instruments into the city centre to tune up for A Concert In A Car.
Without a backing track from the in-car stereo, the troupe performed a rendition of some motoring themed songs, including The Beatles' Baby You Can Drive My Car.
But playing from a spot on pedestrianised Buchanan Street, let's hope they remembered they were on the Road To Nowhere.
