YOU don't need to dress up in your best togs to show you can dance better than Strictly Come Dancing's John Sergeant, as Marion Feeney and George Drennan showed in Glasgow.

They were in trilby and coats, in contrast to the couple behind them, as the city launched Tea Dance Tuesdays as part of the Winterfest in George Square.

The events are being held every Tuesday from 1-3pm and on December 30 there will be an attempt to smash the Guinness World Record for the biggest outdoor tea dance.

It stands at 195 couples -made in Trafalgar Square, London - and Glasgow organisers are hoping more than 200 couples will turn up and show some nifty footwork to help the city claim the record.

If you fancy taking part, just be there at 1pm.
