YOUNG musicians Andrew Clark and Kyle Warren are tuning up for a piping extravaganza in Glasgow this week.
Andrew, 12, and 21-year-old National Youth Pipe Band Major Kyle are taking part in the city's annual International Piping Festival, alongside musicians.
The city will ring out to the sound of music until Sunday when 200 bands, from as far afield as Australia, Pakistan, Oman and Canada compete for the honour of being named world champions.
This year, the festival's fifth, sees more than 8500 pipers taking part.
Organisers say the event, which culminates at Glasgow Green with the battle to take home the top trophy, will showcase the "vibrancy and diversity of the pipes".
