Peter Capaldi has confirmed he is just about to start filming series 10 of Doctor Who – and naturally Whovians are delighted.
The Time Lord actor made the announcement at Dallas Comic Con in Texas on Friday alongside co-stars Michelle Gomez and ex-assistant Jenna Coleman, revealing that filming would start in just two weeks.

The show’s 10th series will introduce new companion Bill, played by Pearl Mackie. Jenna is off to star in ITV’s royal period drama Victoria.
