A New music festival will burst on to the scene in the South Side.
On May 11 the inaugural South by Southside festival, a one-day event in the Queen’s Park area of Glasgow will be held.
The festival will be held at the Queen’s Park Arena, a renovated bandstand and amphitheatre hosting a number of events this summer.
One of the organisers Ian Murdoch, said: “We all live near Queen’s Park and have watched the arena’s development start and stop but it’s now becoming a real focal point for local cultural events. We feel the area deserves a vibrant, affordable festival that brings together music, food and drink and showcases local vendors.”
The majority of acts came via expressions of interest after posting details on Facebook music groups.
Tickets for the event are on sale now.
