A GLASGOW-BASED start-up is set to unveil an exciting new caffeinated product at this weekend’s city coffee festival.

Two Birds, a lifestyle brand situated in the city, will showcase their new weekend’s event.

The company has unveiled its ready-to-drink coffee as the perfect grab and go caffeine hit for people with a busy lifestyle or demanding job.

Two Birds will gather feedback from the city’s most discerning coffee drinkers at The Briggait, with those in attendance asked to vote on whether they approve of the taste.

Festival-goers will be asked to drop a coffee bean into a yes or no pint glass, depending on whether they like the taste.

Young entrepreneur Daniel Stevenson, 24, co-founded the Two Birds brand with his brother Greg, and father Neil, a successful entrepreneur and business leader who founded Transition Extreme Sports, an extreme sports centre and social enterprise in Aberdeen.

He said: “We’ve been developing our unique Two Birds cold-blend coffee for over a year now and we’re very excited to let people try it for themselves. People can now enjoy the caffeine boost of a speciality grade coffee with all the added immune function and anti-inflammatory benefits from the host of vitamins in our unique blend.”

“There’s no better way to find out what the great and good of Glasgow’s exciting coffee scene think than at the Glasgow Coffee Festival - it’s the perfect place to launch and we can’t wait to hear what the country’s coffee lovers have to say.

“We are confident everyone will love our drink just as much as we do.”

The coffee is roasted locally in Glasgow by award-winning Dear Green Coffee Roasters using the ethically sourced Brazilian Fazenda Pantano coffee bean. The pioneering product is enriched with Two Birds unique blend of antioxidants, vitamin C, and echinacea, then finished off with a touch of ginger, turmeric and agave.

An innovative newcomer to the market, Two Birds cold blend, is vegan and dairy-free and offers a healthier option to consumer’s morning coffee and can be consumed as a post-lunch pick-me-up or a pre-activity caffeine hit.

Last week, Dear Green founder Lisa Lawson predicted the product would be a “big hit” and “one of the trends to look out for this year”.
