Hungry Glaswegians have reason to fiesta as brand new city centre Mexican restaurant MEZCAL opens its doors this week.
Located in Hope Street beside Central Station, MEZCAL will offer classic Mexican bites such as tacos, nachos and tostados, all inspired by the street foods of Mexico City.
The bar will also serve up a unique selection of South American spirits, with over 25 different tequilas behind the bar.

MEZCAL comes from the team behind popular Glasgow Greek restaurant Halloumi and Korean restaurant Bibimbap, with founder Kevin Campbell describing the Latin American restaurant as “a taste of Mexico City in the heart of Glasgow”:
“We’re very excited to welcome everyone from far and wide to MEZCAL to drink, eat, party and dance on the tables.”
Open from midday to 1am every day, the restaurant will not only serve hungry shoppers, but also midnight revelers looking for a spicy treat, with DJs playing throughout the evening.
MEZCAL opens with a week of soft launch events, before the official launch on 27th September.
