IT was his starring role as Big Jazza in John Byrne's Tutti Frutti which put set Robbie Coltrane on the road to stardom.
He had already made a name for himself in films such as Absolute Beginners and Mona Lisa, but the rock n' roll drama made the outsize actor a bankable star.
Here, Robbie practises tinkling the ivories during a break in the filming of the hit comedy drama on location at the Pavilion Theatre in Glasgow.
The Rutherglen-born actor has since gone on to star in the TV series Cracker and on the big screen in the hit Harry Potter films and in James Bond blockbusters.
