DAVID Beckham's biggest problem in America may not be how to hit the goal-trail for LA Galaxy - but how to spend his millions.

He and Victoria will clearly have a lifestyle beyond the wildest dreams of mere mortals.

She was spotted checking out three palatial houses in and around Beverly Hills. One, a £7million mansion, had the added advantage of being close to the Beckhams' showbiz friends, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.

Advice, much of it unsolicited, has been offered to the Beckhams in advance of their arrival in the City of the Angels. Such as: forget Beverly Hills - Hollywood Hills is more fashionable. Residents there include Leonardo DiCaprio and Ben Affleck.

When it comes to their kids' schools, one school that has been put forward is the Center for Early Education which has the offspring of Jodie Foster and Jack Nicholson as pupils.

Within hours of the signing, LA's biggest celebrity photo-agencies was mustering a team of five photographers to shadow the couple.

"It will be great for us," enthused Brandy Navarre. "A mob of photographers will be surrounding them constantly."

Victoria has already lined up an LA children's boutique to furnish her three sons with football-themed bedrooms. The cost - more than £50,000 - is less than Beckham's daily earnings. His starting salary is more than £5m.
