Actress Kelly Macdonald brought a touch of stardust to the launch of a charity's Christmas campaign.
The Hollywood star is throwing her weight behind Yorkhill Children's Charity's festive drive to raise funds to support the children being treated at the Glasgow hospital.
Macdonald, a newly-appointed ambassador for the charity, said: "Yorkhill Children's Charity provides amazing support to children and families throughout the year, but the charity goes an extra mile at Christmas.
"I hope as many people as possible will join in one of our events or help in whatever way they can to make a difference to the children at Yorkhill this Christmas."
The actress, known for movies such as Trainspotting and Brave, was joined at today's launch by members of the Military Wives Choir, who will be performing at the charity's Christmas concert next month.
She was also joined by two patients whose drawings feature in the charity's 2014 calendar - 13-year-old Zoe Ingram from Ardrossan, Ayrshire, and Olivia Penman, aged nine, from Glasgow.
The Yorkhill Children's Charity funds initiatives that help to save or improve the life of a child and enhance their experience of being in hospital.
Other services that will benefit from the campaign include the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley and various community clinics in the Greater Glasgow and Clyde area.
Supporters can help the charity in a variety of ways, such as by purchasing their 2014 calendar, taking part in a Santa bungee jump, attending the concert or making a donation.
