For a new survey has revealed that Americans find Glaswegian the 'sexiest' of all British accents.
The Scotsman reports on The British Airways survey which asked 1,000 Americans and 1,000 Britons for their take on different regional accents.
And 25 per cent of the Americans surveyed highlighting the Glasgwegian accent as the 'sexiest'
Elsewhere, a fifth of US respondents thought it was Liverpool's scouse accent while London's cockney came second, picking up 16 per cent of the vote.
Newcastle's Geordie accent was rated the 'most intelligent'. The survey revealed that 36 per cent of Americans enjoyed the accent’s pitch shifts.
America's favourite British accents were also revealed with Sir Sean Connery topping the list ahead of High Grant and Keira Knightley.
