A DEATH probe is underway after the body of an elderly man was found in Busby.
Emergency services, including police and paramedics, were called to a property in Main Street early on Thursday morning.
Officers confirmed an 83-year-old man was found dead at around 8.50am.
There are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
Neighbours said there was a police presence in the street and an ambulance parked outside the property.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Around 8.50am on Thursday October 29, police were called to a report of the sudden death of an 83-year-old man at an address in Main Street, Busby.
"Officers attended and there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances at this time.
"A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
