PRINCESS Anne met some of the first people to treat the victims of the George Square bin lorry crash.
The Princess Royal was at the head-quarters of St Andrew’s First Aid to launch its forthcoming Scottish First Aid Week, which runs from Monday, November 23, to Sunday, November 29.
Princess Anne watched demonstrations on vital first aid skills, such as CPR, and also presented a number of first aid awards. Six volunteers were highly commended for their actions last December, when they helped those injured when a bin lorry crashed and the vehicle mounted the pavement, killing six people and injuring 15.
Gary Penders, Brenda Given, Keith McRavey, Victoria Gray, Andrew Kilcullen and Graham Ross were all presented with an award by the Princess.
