FANS have lodged concern for acclaimed Glasgow DJ and producer Rustie after revealing that he has had to scrap all forthcoming shows due to "addiction & mental health problems”.
The 32-year-old dance music artist, whose real name is Russell Whyte, had been due to perform a Hogmanay show in San Bernardino, California and a gig at MSC Divina in Miami, Florida. Both have now been cancelled.
Two months ago, the Pollokshields-born artist released a free track called 160 Hospital Riddim while in the hospital to receive treatment for diabetes.
He said tweeted in sharing the tune on Soundloud: "They keep givin me free extra livez! so here another free track, made after waking in A&E!”
He posted a photograph of himself in hospital on Instagram and told of his dislike for the disease.
And in July he posted a link to a tune which "saved me" when he was 15 and "wanted to die after being diagnosed insulin dependent for the rest of my life".
