POLICE and family members are searching for a teenager who went missing yesterday morning.

Paige Doherty, 15, from the Clydebank area was last seen leaving a friends house in Angus Street at 8.15am.

It is understood she left to head to work at Street Image hairdressers in Kirkintilloch but she did not arrive.

Friends and family members took to social media to help find Paige and police have today urged members of the public to assist.

Paige, who is around 4ft 8inches, is slim with long dark hair.

She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a white crop top, and a khaki coloured bomber jacket along with a short dark jacket with fur around the neck.

She was also wearing white trainers with a gold Nike logo on the side.

Sergeant Claire Taylor from Dumbarton Police Office said: “Paige has gone missing before but for her not to be in touch with any of her friends, or to be active on social media, is very out of character.

“She is known to spend time in the Kirkintilloch area and I would ask anyone with information on her whereabouts to get in touch with officers at Dumbarton Police Office on 101.

“I would also appeal to Paige to make contact with someone to let us know she is safe, her family are extremely worried and just want to know that she is okay.”
