A GARAGE worker was threatened by an armed robber who made off with a three figure sum of cash following a heist in Clydebank.

The robbery took place in the Hardgate area of the town on Sunday, April 24 at around 8.55pm.

Police say two men entered the Old Mill Garage on Glasgow Road, and while paying for an item, one of the men threatened staff with a weapon and demanded money.

The two men took a three figure sum of cash before running off in the direction of Hardgate Roundabout.

Nobody was injured during the incident.

Detective Constable David Lavery, from Clydebank CID, said: “The two men were seen running from the premises towards Hardgate Roundabout and enquiries are continuing to establish where they went from there.

“I would appeal to anyone who saw men matching the descriptions acting suspiciously in the area around the time of the incident to get in touch.

The first man is described as white, 6ft, late 20s, and he had short black hair and stubble. He was wearing sunglasses, a blue hooded top with a white zip and tie strings, black trousers, and black trainers with white laces and white soles.

The second man is described as white, 5ft 8ins, late 20s, and he had brown hair worn in a crew cut style, closely shaved in at the sides. He was wearing a black hooded top with a white zip and tie strings, dark trousers and dark trainers.
