A WOMAN has been arrested in connection with an alleged homophobic incident on a train.
Two women, aged 29 and 30, were allegedly verbally attacked as they travelled on the train between Glasgow and Stirling on Sunday, May 1.
The incident took place on the 2.59pm Queen Street to Alloa service shortly after it left Glasgow and prior to its arrival into Stirling station.
A spokesman for British Transport Police said: "British Transport Police can confirm that a 46-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged homophobic incident on a train travelling between Glasgow and Stirling on Sunday, 1 May, 2016.
"She is now the subject of a report to the local Procurator Fiscal.
"Members of the public and media are thanked for their assistance in this matter."
