DJ Suzie McGuire has taken to Facebook after being released on bail over phone abuse allegations.

The former Radio Clyde presenter spent three nights behind bars as she waited for her court appearance in Hamilton yesterday.

The 45-year-old pled not guilty to threatening behaviour allegedly aimed towards her ex-husband and his new girlfriend.

After being released on bail following the alleged incident on Saturday, the radio presenter has been back posting on social media.

Suzie uploaded pictures of her children with the caption: "When your babies come first."

She then share a meme with the words: "Sometimes things take time. Be patient and remember, storms will pass eventually.

"In the moment it feels like forever.

"Yet it is already in the past, while your future is still to be written."

Dozens of Suzie's Facebook friends posted their support for the mum-of-four.

Carol Burns wrote: " Stay strong Suzie. You have a gorgeous wee family and a great man by your side. Xxx"

Nicola Willkie added: "Keep your head held high. Your an amazing parent."

The presenter was picked up from court by her new fiancee Kevin Irvine who proposed to the Scottish radio star in April.

Suzie's ex-husband Derek Mitchell, 35, was convicted of domestic assaults on her back in 2014.
