GLASWEGIAN funnyman Limmy has been hit with dire family news.. his child has been struck down with a 'Glasgow Uni' accent.
The comedian took to Twitter to lament that, despite his father's Priesthill roots, his six-year-old son has begun speaking with the distinctive dialect.

First characterised by another city comic, Kevin Bridges, as a 'homogenised west end accent', initial symptoms of the tongue emerging involve soft 'yahs', overuse of phrases such as 'top banter, top chat' and the consumption of excessive amounts of artisanal coffee.
Limmy, aka Brian Limond, Tweeted further that despite the fact his boy was otherwise perfect, he was considering taking him to the doctors to stop the rot.
My 6 year old son has got himself a Glasgow Uni accent. Might take him to the doctors. Don't know what else to do.

But medical science has only progressed so much, as University of Glasgow's official Twitter account revealed as they replied saying "Think you'll find there is no cure. Hope to see Master Limmy here in 10 years!"

Moved by Limmy junior's plight, Glaswegians from less gentrified areas of the Dear Green Place were quick to suggest alternatives to a GP visit.
@DaftLimmy send him up to posso for a few weeks, will have a regular Ned accent in no time.
