Glaswegians have been told to prepare for a big freeze after the Met Office issued severe weather warnings for ice and strong winds.
Yellow 'be aware' warnings for strong winds and ice in Strathclyde were issued this morning.
The high winds warning is in place from 11am until 10pm tonight, while the ice alert is valid from 8pm until 10am tomorrow.
The Met Office said strong winds and ice are expected across the country, with gusts of up to 75mph predicted for the Western Isles.
Motorists have been warned that the ice and high winds are likely to cause travel disruptions.
Yellow alerts for ice have also been issued for the Highlands and Western Isles, Grampian, Central, Tayside and Fife, and Dumfries, Galloway, Lothian and Borders.
Snow is also forecast to hit the southern and eastern Highlands overnight.
