Glaswegians have been told to prepare for snow this weekend after the Met Office issued a severe weather warning.
Persistent showers of sleet and snow are expected during Friday night with up to 6cm forecast to fall in some areas of Scotland.
The yellow 'be aware' warning for snow in Strathclyde is valid from 6pm today until 10am on Saturday.
Temperatures are set to rise on Saturday, with rain replacing the snow.
Drivers have been warned to expect slippery, icy conditions and travel disruptions.
A yellow warning has also been issued for Dumfries, Galloway, Lothian & Borders.
