UPDATE: Céline Dion confirmed for Scottish date at Hydro

She’s coming to the UK this summer for a tour for the first time in close to ten years and left fans gutted when it was seemingly confirmed she wasn’t stopping off in Scotland.

Now, though, the SSE Hydro in Glasgow has hinted Céline Dion could be heading north of the border after all  - and the news has just been too much for fans.

Glasgow Times:

The concert venue took to its social media pages on Friday night to tease the hell out of gig-goers.

The team kept it cool, and wrote: “We have a big announcement coming next week! Time to get the big letters out in prep…”

They then posted a series of letters reading ‘DEOLENICIN’. Naturally, Twitter went nuts with the news having been all but confirmed.

Although, one Facebook user was clearly on it the night before, as she wrote: “My spellings getting worse I thought it was Nicoledeon.”

We certainly hope it’s not.

Céline is regarded as one of pop music’s most influential voices and is the best-selling Canadian artist, as well as one of the best-selling artists of all time, with record sales of over 200 million copies worldwide.

The moment she announced on Facebook she was coming to the UK:

The UK dates confirmed so far are:

20 June - The O2 - London
21 June - The O2 - London
25 June - Manchester Arena
27 July - Barclaycard Arena - Birmingham

Céline said of her upcoming visit across the pond: “I am so looking forward to returning to the UK and Europe this summer, these wonderful cities hold such special memories for me and I’m really excited to be coming back and seeing all my fans again.”

Be sure to keep your eyes peeled on the official Céline site, Facebook, and the SSE Hydro pages for information too.
